From everyday life to activism.
Born in Toulouse in 1999, I grew up in Haute-Garonne before studying foreign languages at Toulouse–Jean Jaurès University, better known by its notorious name, ‘Le Mirail’, a university that became known in France for its particularly high number of communist strikes and blockades.
An odd mix, considering that the Mirail district was one of the hubs for people leaving France to join jihadist groups. Quite an atmosphere.
Surrounded by kebab shops or activists wearing keffiyehs, often the only white person in the metro carriage, I wanted to meet young people who were like me and shared my ideas.
That is where I became deeply involved in the Génération Identitaire youth movement, before becoming its spokesperson until it was dissolved in 2021.
